Day of Web Interactions

After constantly logging my interactions with the web for a day I’ve come to realize how much I rely on it in areas ranging from coursework to communication and even for food, this observation has raised the question in my head “what would I do without it?” I found myself on google for the majority of the day trying to break down a certain topic when the textbook just doesn’t do enough for me and it is helpful finding videos or helpful articles to read aids me in my retaining of certain information. When I found myself needing a break from course work I would scroll through Instagram and try to find entertainment whether it’s a funny video or seeing the latest thing Donald Trump has tweeted that has made half of America upset. Now that some social media allows us to see the last time someone was using the app when my boyfriend is texting back fast enough I would see if he was recently on social media to see if I had reason to pick a fight and when I saw it was around the time when he last texted me I went on to simply google his mom’s name and I find her Facebook to see if they are up to something at that time where he is not on his phone. Although those actions seem extreme it has become the new norm because we have all of this information literally at our fingertips so why not go out and find it. The ease  of information on the internet is so helpful but it is also so scary. The amount of things we are able to see now is crazy so just thinking about what may be available on the internet in a couple years is both mind blowing and also terrifying.
